The Activity Catalog below is a resource for lodge contingent leaders, contingent members, staff, parents and others interested in the training and program opportunities that will be available at the 2015 National Order of the Arrow Conference.
This Activity Catalog is meant to provide an overview of training offerings and descriptions of sessions. Individual guest and group/team registration for morning training sessions and afternoon activities will open on the NOAC registration website on April 1st and guests will be able to choose their training and afternoon activity preferences.
All guests are expected to attend morning training. Two of three training days will consist of Cell Training. Cells consist of a broad topic divided into three 40-50 minute sessions. Guests will stay in or near the same room while cell trainers rotate for each session. This minimizes travel by guests and maximizes training time.
New in 2015, on one of the three training days, each lodge will have a chance to train together as a contingent. The contingent will attend a signature training session followed by a number of options that the lodge/contingent leadership will choose based on their lodge’s specific needs. More information regarding lodge training days is forthcoming.
There are a number of training opportunities to meet your needs and interests. Guests are asked to choose their desired training sessions in order of priority. While a guest could attend a maximum of two specific morning training sessions through the course of the week, guests should consider alternate choices and choose up to five sessions as the topics currently are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. Please note that based on demand and availability, you may not receive your first choice. In addition, training cells are subject to change without notice. While we will make every effort to accommodate your requests, in some instances there will be constraints that may result in you not receiving your primary choices.
Only certain afternoon activities require pre-registration prior to NOAC and they are all listed here. There will be many other activities occurring throughout the afternoon on each day of conference that do not require pre-registration. Guests should not feel compelled to ‘fill their schedule’ in the afternoons and should only select those activities that they truly wish and intend to participate in.
Finally, prior to conference on July 1st, contingent leaders and guests will be able to view their schedules and make adjustments to that schedule based on availability prior to arriving on campus.
